Ahhh, what a fun and crazy day this was!
This was for a very good friend's wedding!
I think we all were pretty much running on no sleep, including the Bride!
Don't you love her maiden name? haha.
I love this couple!
They have been such great friends! And the reception turned out beautifully. They were married in the Boise Temple and then held the reception at the old train depot in Caldwell, ID. It was such a beautiful and unique location. It was a wonderful spending time with good friends and their families.
Heather looked so beautiful, despite the fact she stayed up the whole night before:)
Here are a few photos of the food and of the wedding cake.
The flavors of each of the layers were different. The bottom layer was of course the famous Chocolate Cake, the middle layer was a Carrot/Spice Cake, and the top layer was a Lemon Coconut Cake with Butter Cream frosting and Fondant.
Since the bride and I both lived in Hawaii while we attended college, we came up with a delicious menu with lots of variety and a Hawaiian flare.
She chose our Curried Chicken Salad served in a Parmesan Shell. Then the Hawaiian Kalua Pulled Pork served on our home-made rolls. There was assorted fruit, including lots of pineapple(of course)! A beautiful assortment of veggies and dip. Desserts were our rich and chocolatey Brownie Wedges and our Coconut Cakes with Pineapple Cream. For drinks we served our Tropical Oasis Punch and Water with Lemons!
